We just started Day 2 of our road trip adventure to Michigan/Chicago for a month+. We are all VERY excited for this trip.

Traveling with a practicing toilet user adds an interesting dimension (slash many, many more minutes) to the trip. She has now used a variety of surroundings to get her business done. (Hope she doesn’t mind me saying so…I’m just proud of her!) We’re still using pull-ups in the car instead of undies but I think we can all agree that’s the best choice at this point.

I’ve been stocking up on activities and snacks for weeks in preparation and I think it’s mostly working. She didn’t sleep one wink all day yesterday (classic) and faired pretty well until dinner time when she went WILD. We took a couple of decently long breaks where we went for a hike (seen above) or just walked around. I think that helped our collective sanity (at least temporarily), but added a couple hours to the day.

Driving through the rolling hills of Tennessee and Kentucky isn’t so bad. It helps that the girl is currently stuffing strawberries into her mouth as quickly as possible allowing no room for requests for “something.”
